We challenge you to take on one of our Bones literature micro objectives, which asks you to write an acrostic poem about a prehistoric animal. Make sure to read the details of the micro objective to learn how to “randomly generate” an animal to write about. This MICRO objective won’t take you long- probably about 15 minutes; Have fun with this and don’t take it too seriously!

🦪 Nature Cast
For this challenge, we’ll be completing the Bones art objective by creating a clay "fossil" through plaster casting. First, you’ll choose an organic element- something you think will look neat when cast in three dimensions. Maybe a shell? Or a cool plant? Then, you’ll get the chance to get your hands dirty with clay and plaster of paris as you create your mock fossil. We hope you’re as excited about this one as we are!

🦕 The Big Screen
It’s time to take on our Bones media objective, which is a little different than our seasoned scouts are used to. While usually we ask you to watch from a list we’ve pre-curated, you’re getting a bit more freedom this time around. Watch ANY movie or documentary that heavily centers dinosaurs or archeology. We look forward to seeing what you choose to watch!

For this challenge, we’re tackling the Bones 300 point literature objective by reading a "rawr-some" novel about dinosaurs or archeology. You’ve got free range to choose your novel, as long as it fits the criteria!

This Weekly Challenge really exemplifies the idea that the more effort you put into Quest Scouts, the more you get our of it! We challenge you to complete the 400 point travel objective, which asks you to choose your own BIG dinosaur adventure. So, what will your “jurassic choice” be? 🦴 Land Before Time
For this inaugural challenge highlighting our new quest Bones, you’ll need to choose either the Travel 300 or Visit 300 objective, both of which ask you to check out someplace epic. Fully assembled dinosaur bones or an archeological dig site? The choice is up to you! You’ve got more than three months (as of 2/23) to plan to complete this challenge, and we suggest you start planning ASAP! Hope you enjoy your travels!
