Make your own ice cream from scratch.
Details:
Have you ever made ice cream from scratch? If not, now is your chance! If so, consider this a chance to challenge yourself with a new flavor or method.
1) Research ice cream making methods. While you are welcome to use an ice cream maker, there are plenty of ways to make ice cream without one! Choose the method that works best for you.
2) Find a recipe! There are SO MANY amazing ice cream recipes to choose from! You might choose to flip through a book or find a recipe online. (At Quest Scouts Central we’ve been eyeing The Perfect Scoop by David Lebovitz.)
NOTE: Keep in mind that some recipes are specific to the ice cream making method you identified in step one.
3) Make your ice cream! Follow the method and recipe you chose from start to finish until you end up with your ice cream.
4)Take a photograph to document your ice cream making escapades and post it in our Facebook Group.
5) Along with your photo, tell us about your adventure!
