Weekly Challenge: Interesting Gem
Complete the Sparkle Research Micro Objective by learning about a random gemstone.
Details:
1) Go to the Gemdat Gemstone Database.
2) In the leftmost column, you’ll see a random gemstone. Hover over the image for the name of the gemstone.
3) Spend 10-15 minutes searching online for information, and reading about, your stone.
4) Share a) something interesting you learned about your random gemstone and b) an image of your gem (from the internet), on our Facebook Page as a comment on our post titled “Weekly Challenge- Interesting Gem.”
5) Remember! If you’re a member, not only will completing this challenge earn you a star, but also 50 points towards your Sparkle badge as well. Don’t forget to post here and record your points!
Star:
6) To collect your star, you must:
-Post an image of your random gemstone, as well as something interesting you leaned about it, on the Facebook post mentioned above, (Step 4)
-before September 13th, 2020
-while holding an active Quest Scouts membership.
No membership required to participate in challenges, and we hope members and non-members alike will join in on the fun.
Members receive the added bonus of collecting a star for completing the weekly challenge. (Not a member, but interested in collecting stars? You can become a member here.)
Stars will be manually tracked by Quest Scouts. Earn 10 stars and receive your first Star Catcher achievement badge.
