Objective:
Carve a spoon.
Details:
1) Assess the risk! We know we’re all adults here, but with this objective we felt compelled to say it. Carving requires sharp tools and can be dangerous. If you don’t feel you can safely carve a spoon, don’t do it! Not every objective works for every scout. (That said, if you’d like to propose an alternative spoon related objective, email Dylan at hello@questscouts.com).
2) In tandem with assessing the risk, do your research. Take the time to learn about spoon carving. You could watch a few youtube tutorials, check out a spoon carving book, or find a pictorial guide online.
3) Based on what you learned while researching, collect the supplies you’ll need to carve your spoon.
4) Carve your spoon.
5) Take a photograph of your finished spoon and post it in our Facebook Group.
