Weekly Challenge:
Virtually “visit” America’s National Parks and collect a National Park Passport stamp and a Junior Ranger badge.
Traveling to National Parks is a great way to explore the variety of what this country offers us while learning about the current and historical significance of the places we visit. Unfortunately, we’re stuck at home! So, let’s do the next best thing and virtually visit!
Details:
National Park Stamp
Traditionally National Park Passport stamps are physical rubber stamp prints collected at the parks themselves. As you can’t visit National Parks right now, a few are offering “virtual” stamps for touring the sites electronically. These stamps are meant to be printed and glued into you passport.
1) Choose your stamp.
Identify and choose a location that you’d like to virtually visit. You can find a list of locations that are offering virtual passport stamps here. (If you find other locations offering virtual stamps, let us know and I’ll add them to the list!)
2) Earn your virtual passport stamp! Enjoy what the site has to virtually offer, and then print your stamp! (If you don’t have a printer, no worries. Just save the image for later.)
