Weekly Challenge: Coming of Age
Choose a novel in the “Bildungsroman” genre and add it to your reading list.
Have you ever heard the term Bildungsroman? According to Wikipedia, Bildungsroman is “a literary genre that focuses on the psychological and moral growth of the protagonist from youth to adulthood (coming of age) in which character change is important.”
Details:
1) What the heck is Bildungsroman? Take some time (15-30 minutes) to learn about the topic by searching for and reading educational materials on the topic.
2) Now that you understand the concept, choose a novel in the Bildungsroman genre & add it to your reading list.
Note: You do not have to read the book to complete this Weekly Challenge.
3) Post a comment in our Facebook group as a reply to the post “Weekly Challenge- Coming of Age”. Let us know one website/video about Bildungsroman that you found informative, as well as which book you added to your reading list.
